Wordbird | Hurrah! Did it! I rode my bike to the bank so I got exercise AND my coins. Though piggy is not totally full.
Where is everyone? I'm doing a lot of talking to myself, it seems. |
Wordbird | Seeing the Dimes I even DREAMED about filling my piggy bank with dimes, last night. lol.
So today I'm visualizing it. I'm at the bank, I get all my spare change made into dimes, I stuff that pig until he's so full he can't eat another bite.
It's happening. Today. |
Wordbird | Still Dime-less. Will fix... Clearly there is a planetary Dime shortage, as I shopped several places today and did not once receive a dime as change.
So I will take suggestion made, go to bank, GET dimes, and save half my change in clay pig. Maybe clay pig dimes will be rare coins soon as dimes appear to be going extinct...lol |
Wordbird | Making it work Today I'm going to the bank, I'm taking my change, I'm converting it into the dimes I want in my little clay pig, and I'll be BACK to enter my count! Otherwise, my total would end to be like $3.00. |
Wordbird | Flex! yes I could budge off the "has to be dimes" thing and put half whatever change I have in the pig. Yes, I could. Thanks. |
eiamrw | wordbird This is just meant as a suggestion but would it be an idea to set aside half of the change you get back in a day? |
Wordbird | Dimeless I ran out of dimes and haven't figured out what to do instead... |
eiamrw | another 35 another 35 for my hungry piggy bank |
eiamrw | ATM went to the ATM today and took some extra money to feed to my hungry piggy bank |
eiamrw | yesterday and today |
Wordbird | dime-less I have put every dime in the house in to the pig. Now ...what? I can see I need a different strategy. |
St_Nick | i am rounding my pieces of currency to the nearest whole $. so if I have 50 cent I make it a dollar then I add it to my "amber Gallon bottle jug" |
Wordbird | 10% daily earnings, vessels ten per cent DAILY earnings. That's a great idea. I usually do 10% of every check or gift and that doesn't work as well.
The system won't allow us to enter cents. Too bad.How are you doing your entries then? 9, 10 or 5 what? Pieces of currency?
Maybe on the net it's not such a bad idea to keep away from exact amounts.
I hadn't expected to be so interested in WHAT you keep your savings in. A jug, a vase, a clay pig and what? That's fun, to image your savings vessels filling up. |
eiamrw | Change Just through my change in what I use as piggy bank (an oversized vase) that was actually 10.40 |
St_Nick | I will do 10% of my daily earnings plus my coins that I find in the street. i have an empty gallon jug |
Wordbird | Piggy Bank Friend I bought a great clay piggy bank from a crafts fair. I can fill it, I think. No idea what I'll do with it. I'll just have a full piggy bank for someday. You have to break it to get to the coins. I never want to break it because it's really a perfect little clay pig. I bought an identical one for a friend of 30 years who was with me that day. The pig makes me smile. So this is a good place to keep coins. Though the pig pays me zero interest. Because he's a hog. |
eiamrw | great challenge OK I'm in, I wish us luck with this challenge |
