Summer Pleasures!

Summer is here and the time is right for Dancin in the Street or in the Rain, be a kid, enjoy stomping in those warm puddles!

I love this time of year the best, when we can get outside, commune with nature, hopefully NOT with the mosquitos, but to really enjoy the planet that we live on, reflecting that we are only borrowing this earth for a short time, we need to protect and cherish it.

There are so many things to do and see, so many pleasures to take part in, time with family and friends, things that seem to pass quickly in my climate, fall comes all too quickly here.  I do miss CA for that, summer lasts for just months and months!

I had a guilt free Banana Split yesterday, it was heavenly.  For reasons I won't get into because they are past reasons, I have not had a Banana Split in over 20 years, well yesterday as I reflected on the past, and put it behind me, I moved forward symbolically into the future with a celebratory move that made me smile and didn't do to badly with the tummy either!

As I sit here, listening to oldies and smelling the wonderful scent of falling rain, I am reminded that we are lucky to be alive and living free.  As Americans celebrate the 4th of July tomorrow, remember as always that Freedom is never free and the fighting men and woman all over the world, fight for our freedom and liberties.

If you have a loved one in the service, Thank You for your Sacrifice and for others, if you see someone in Uniform this Weekend, say a Thank You to them for their service to us. I am grateful that my friend has come home from Iraq, we are going hiking on Mon to get him reacquainted with the local Park!

Enjoy your holiday and feel the joy of being alive and free.  Micci
